Several years ago downtown Olympia had some issues with a few homeless folks setting up tents in the park and other public areas. A big meeting was held and several downtown churches agreed that each year one of them would volunteer to turn their parking lot into a temporary shelter for that year. This year's church parking lot is fairly close to my work so I got a picture of the entrance today. Seems to be a very workable solution.
